Sheffield United Women Team have announced their retained list following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.
The 2024-25 Championship season was a disaster, finishing bottom of the league. They have, however, been spared relegation by a reprieve that the Blackburn Rovers Women team have opted to resign from the league.
The Bladettes will compete in the newly formed Barclays Women’s Super League 2. Ten players will leave the club following the completion of their contracts: Maria Farrugia, Jacqui Hand, Monique Robinson, Esther Morgan, Annie Wilding, Jade Bailey, Olivia Page, Fallon Connolly-Jackson, Bethan Davies, Olivia Edwards. Meanwhile, a further five players will return to their parent clubs following the completion of their loan deals: Ellie Jones, Maddy Earl, Connie Scofield, Alyssa Aherne.
Only Sian Rogers has been retained from last season’s squad, although Leanne Cowan, Abbie Lafayette, Ella Kinzett, Molly Graham, and Eva Butler are in negotiations on a new contract.
Finally, defender Satara Murray has decided to hang up her boots and retire from football.
